Grogu, often referred to as "Baby Yoda" by audiences, is a character first appearing in the Disney+ television series, The Mandalorian.
A Force-sensitive being of the same species as Jedi Grand Master Yoda, Grogu was born approximately 41 years before the events of the film Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
During The Mandalorian, the titular Mandalorian, Din Djarin, is tasked with delivering Grogu to the remnants of the Imperial forces. He eventually chooses to protect Grogu, becoming his surrogate father and embarking on numerous adventures to keep him safe from those seeking to exploit his Force abilities.
